
Yes, critical thinking is the process through which one solves problems and makes decisions. Do you feel comfortable with your ability to think critically? This manner of thinking has helped me not to get into the way of others and grow effective thinking skills. My ability to think can be viewed from the fact that I am able to discern my personal and other viewpoints, and the knowledge I have or may lack before expressing myself. What English does is that it makes you understand your self-knowledge, content knowledge, rhetorical knowledge and critical knowledge. Personally, I have undergone some huge improvement learning the course. The fact is, English goes beyond literature examinations and develops your critical mind immensely.

This is a falsehood mentality about English courses, and any English student can testify this. Many students and teachers alike think of the of English course as being flat and only dwells on examining literature articles for their settings, metaphors, and themes.
